Re: Five times Jack listened to Daniel in the field without question
"the lines mean something else if it's a Tuesday--"
"what he really wants to know is how long Daniel can keep this up."
"Teal'c is making a career of the perimeter he's walking, and Jack knows Daniel must breathe through his skin."
Followed quickly by Ouch/Awww:
"But he can't find a way out now, because Daniel is more relaxed than anything Jack's seen since Abydos."
Then laugh/hurt, laugh/hurt, all entertaining and ring very true to them. Ouchie for changed Daniel in #3, and Jack changing what he wished for.
#5 made me hurt for all of them, esp. this: "because Daniel isn't asking for much of anything from anyone."
And then my *very favorite bit*, the last line. So sad, and so poignant, and so Jack/Daniel.
You rock.
