1. Daniel and Skarra were taken by Apophis and Sha're vowed to do whatever it took to get her husband and her brother back. She led her people in the revolution against Ra, with her husband and O'Neill at her side and they won. With O'Neill at her side once more, she knew she would find her Danyell and save him. It took three years before it actually happened, but she rescued Daniel at the cost of Skarra's life.

2. Sha're had gone with Daniel when Apophis had arrived, so she was never taken. However, many of the women, including Skara had been taken. She argued with her husband the merits of allowing her to go with them. She spoke the language and looked the part, so she would serve as a spy. Daniel didn't want to put her in danger, but she reminded him who it was *exactly* that convinced her people to fight against Ra. After that, they've never been able to stop her when she gets an idea in her head.

3. Sha're was content to spend her days at home on earth, being a good wife to her husband and raising their three children as best she could manage. Daniel was away more often than not, but she was secure in the knowledge that he was protecting his home and family. The first time she saw him with Vala Maldoran, she scowled, but then considered. That night, after she had made love with Daniel, leaving him an exhausted quivering mess, she straddled him and demanded to know if he was going to take Vala as a second wife. Poor Daniel had no idea how to answer that, except to blurt out "NO!" and beg his wife for forgiveness if he made her suspect that he would be unfaithful. The next day, she made arrangements for the children to spend the afternoon with the neighbors and went to talk to General O'Neill. Soon after, she got a part time job working at the SGC while the children were at school and she spent much of her free time with Vala, getting to know the woman better. It was about six months later when Sha're informed Daniel that he would take a second wife and that O'Niell, in leue of Vala's father had arranged a suitable dowry.

4. When SG1 finally had killed Apophis, and captured Amunet, they took Sha're to the Tokra to have her symbiote removed. They refused and it was only then that they found out that Amunet was Tokra and Sha're had willingly played host, in order to defeat Apophis. Unkown to them all, she had acted as a fifth member of SG1, helping them when and where she could. She did this so that her husband would be safe from this Goau'ld who wanted to destroy all Tauri.

*blushes* Thank you :) It's interesting when you think of who Sha're really was - we only ever saw her as the damsel in distress, so to speak, on the show. It's easy to forget she was a formidable woman.

Loved these. Number three was funny and four was just wow. Very nice.

Thank you :) #3 - I can really picture Sha're making the deal out herself - she just strikes me as that no-nonsense kind of woman :)

Fantastic, all of them.

Thank you :)

#3 cracked me up big time. I think they really would like each other. And I love that Sha're just tells Daniel he'll be taking a second wife.

[identity profile] whisper99.livejournal.com 2007-06-13 05:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I think they'd have liked each other too :) And oh yeah, Sha're was a princess, strong willed woman who led her people to rebel against their god. Telling Daniel he's getting a second wife was like, nothing, in the grand scheme of things :)

I also thought it was cool since apparently that sort of thing is not uncommon in real Earth cultures. Yay anthropology!

Thanks! :)

Hey wow. I love Sha're and I love when people remember the kick-ass woman who educated herself when no one else could, talked back when it was forbidden, and started revolutions when no one was looking. I suspect she really wore the pants in the Jackson family, and I am always sad when I realize what a feeble quest object she became.

These are lovely, everything about Sha're's strength and feistiness, and none of the feebleness. Very nice, thanks for writing!

Thank you! :) She sooooo would have run things if she had ended up on SG1 :)

Yes! You rule! This is the greatest thing. And Jack arranging the dowry! Genius! I loved how Sha're brought the whole thing up. Oh Daniel, I almost feel sorry for him, now he has two awesome women to drive me crazy.

[identity profile] whisper99.livejournal.com 2007-12-19 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
Hee :) Thanks so much :) I'd *love* to see a full fledged fic out of that scenario. If you think about it, for Sha're it would not be a stretch for her husband to have more than one wife and there's just NO way she would not have seen the attraction between those two. And poor Daniel would have been just making himself sick making sure he put off Vala and Vala would have teased him all the more for it, especially knowing he was 'safe' and even easier to tease.

I'd *love* to see her becoming friends with Vala and then telling her what she was planning and I'd also love to see the conversation she would have had with Jack telling him that he had to arrange for Vala's dowry. LOL! Heee :)

5. Sha're was always a curious child and loved to explore. After another fight with her father, over who she would have to marry, she ran off into the high hills. Daring to go where no women were allowed to go, she walked into the great pyramid and searched through the long halls. She found a device that had been depicted in one of the many wall paintings she liked to study. She pressed her hand in one symbol and it activated the large stone ring before her. She almost ran away, afraid to get caught, but then she remembered she was alone and no one knew she was here. She pressed another symbol, and another, copying the set of symbols on the wall painting until all seven lights were lit and she fell to the floor when the stargate *kawooshed*.

Stunned, she could only stare in fascination at the watery pool that had opened before her. She bravely approached it, and touched it with one hand. "This is the gate to the stars," she whispered, in awe at the gifts the god had bestowed on her. She smiled, certain now that this was surely meant to be and she stepped through the shimmery curtain.

On the other side, she was met with strange men, some with books in their hands, others with weapons. One in particular held her attention because he was the only one wearing a smile. "Hello," she said in her native tounge, "Are you Gods?" she asked.

She saw the man's smile falter, but then widen when he said something she could not understand. But he approached her, with one arm outstretched and still, the smile. She looked deep into his blue eyes and knew that she had found a friend.

Later that night, when she had helped Daniel decipher the secret to the stargate, Sha're joined the others on the trip back to Abydos. After they defeated Ra, Daniel took her back with him to earth, lest she be dishonored among her own people, as a woman who took up arms against a god. Right before they left, Sha're showed him the cartouche room and helped him copy as many gate addresses as they could before returning to earth.

A year later, they were still exploring through the Stargate, together on SG1, doing whatever it took to fight against the Goaul'd.

Bonus cuz I can't count:

6. O'Neill had come through the stargate, looking for Daniel Jackson. Sha're sadly informed him that Daniel had died not too long after they were married. He got sick with a fever that would not leave him and he wasted away. Sha're was an outcast now, for having too many opinions as a woman, so she spent her days trying to study those things that her husband loved. It was the only way she had left to stay close to him. So when Jack had come through the stargate looking for him, she knew she would go back with him. She would know the world Daniel had promised one day to show her. She would honor his memory by helping his people as best as she could. Jack had to pull some strings, but he got her on his team and you wouldn't know it to look at her, but she's a mean shot.

Wow, each one different and yet all so good. Sha're, even as a contented housewife, is a strong woman with firm opinions who springs into action when she sees a threat. Brava to you both!

Thank you!!!! :)

Heee! Thanks, glad you liked :)

P.S. Love the icon! What does it say about me that one of my first thoughts during that scene was "When did she tie him to the bed?"

[identity profile] whisper99.livejournal.com 2007-06-15 11:23 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL!! You are *so* not the only one who thought that :) I have to figure out how to manip one of the caps to show him wearing pink fuzzy cuffs :)

We are "bad, bad girls" and should be punished. What makes it even weirder, I'm actually more of a Jack O'Neill/RDA girl...

Heeeee! :)
