No. Definitely not! And I haven't decided, so you will have to decide for yourself, whether Alternate!Hammond had a dyed weave, a baaad rug, or some sort of solution using technology brought back through the gate.

Well, there is a market out there for ways to hide baldness, and I'm sure that some bean counter in the Pentagon (or perhaps the NID) would have pointed out early on that patenting some alien tech could help pay some or all of the cost of running the gate. ;)
