1. When the Asgard didn’t show up in time to save Jack from the stasis chamber in the Antarctica outpost, there was only one option left. SG-1 took the chamber – and Jack – with them to the Lost City, hoping to find an answer there.
2. One of Ba’al’s clones – or Ba’al himself, who could really tell? – used the McKay/Carter Intergalactic Gate Bridge to flee to the Pegasus Galaxy. SG-1 went after him but they didn’t find him. Now Earth can add to the growing list of things they ‘accidentally’ did to the Pegasus Galaxy; the introduction of a Goa’uld.
3. After Jack had gone to Washington, he started to really miss gate travelling. So he used all the privileges his new rank provided him with and went with SG-1 – half officially – to have a picnic on one of the Atlantis’ piers. Officially it was declared as a surprise inspection but the picnic basket gave them away.
4. Daniel went to Atlantis to search for something in the database – and the Lanteans somehow ‘lost’ him on an offworld mission. After two days of searching in vain they ruefully called Sam and Teal’c for support. In addition to that they got a very angry general who found ‘his’ missing archaeologist only one day later in a library. Daniel hadn’t noticed that his radio was malfunctioning and supposed that the Atlantis’ people were ‘nicer’ with people conducting scientific research, than the SGC in its fixation on weapons had ever been.
5. The fifth time SG-1 went to Atlantis was after General O’Neill had retired. Jack wanted a very special place for his private retirement party after the official ceremony at the Pentagon was over, and invited his former team to Atlantis. There were so many fish in the ocean that he decided to stay.
(Thanks a lot, pinkdiamonds, for your super quick beta!)

I'm picturing retired!Jack, permanently ensconsed on an Atlantis pier, fishing pole at the ready and picnic basket (and beer cooler!) at his side. :-)
