1. That sometimes she wished Colonel Sumner was in charge of the military, and not just because that would mean that Sumner was still alive. Because Elizabeth had years of experience of being a civilian working with the military, and she might not have liked the way that most military officers did that, but she understood it, was used to working within it.

2. Also, that she understood, sometimes, why John's previous COs were driven crazy by him. He was brave, and good at what he did, and so damn lucky, but God, what she wouldn't give for him to follow the rules some days.

3. That she wished she had a team of her own, because being in charge was hard and lonely, and she appreciated the efforts he and Teyla put into including her in their team, but it just wasn't the same as being part of something.

4. That she was prepared to consider bribery if it meant she didn't have to go three rounds with his 'I'm too dumb to do my paperwork properly, Major Lorne does it all, no really,' routine before she got the paperwork that she knew he did himself and in plenty of time and properly. But the one time she tried to point out that she wasn't fooled, he fled like she'd just asked him to talk about his childhood, and somehow, it seemed easier to just go with it after that.

5. That she'd always thought he'd come for her and the others after they proved themselves. That she never expected to be left there, floating dead in space. That all his talk about hail Mary's and leave no man behind and loyalty doesn't really mean anything in the end, and that she hates him for letting her believe in it all those years, and more than anything, she hates him for using her loyalty to Atlantis, to the other replicators, to betray her at the end.
