Five things Jack wants to say to Daniel, but can't

So much heartfelt pain and sorrow and angst and regret in number 4.
It's been a long time since I wanted to write fanfic but that one line of awesomeness is producing all sorts of little plot bunnies in my head.

while daniel is dying from radiation poisoning, jack wants to tell him that he failed him by not having been there to protect him somehow. but jack realizes that he's not daniel's father.
after sha're is kidnapped, jack wants to tell him he knows what it's like to loose a wife. but jack realizes it's not the same at all.
when he picks up that daniel & ke'ra are interested in each other, jack wants to tell him that he has a bad feeling about her. but jack realizes that he's not daniel's mother.
after daniel starts caring a gun on missions, jack wants to tell him to be careful. but jack realizes that daniel is an adult, takes all of the safety instructions to heart & isn't charlie.
