1. Ronon caught Lorne making faces at his food in the mess hall and dropped down into the seat next to him. The food on Lorne's tray didn't match up with what the kitchen was serving.

"Where'd that come from?"

Lorne looked up guiltily. "Parrish made it. I was complaining about how I missed food from home, and how they never make what I want, and so he, uh, came up with this."

"What is it?"

"Thai food." Lorne poked at it doubtfully. "Apparently."

"Thai?"

"It's a country. On Earth."

"And that's what they eat?"

"Not really. We don't exactly have the right ingredients here." Lorne sighed. "Don't tell him I hate it, okay?"

"How come he's not eating it with you?"

"I got Cadman to lure him away so I could dump it. Then I started feeling guilty about it."

Ronon reached over and speared a forkful from Lorne's plate. He chewed thoughtfully. "Better get rid of it before he comes back," he advised.

2. "I wasn't expecting them to promote me to CMO this fast," Jennifer confessed. "I don't really feel ready for it."

"You don't act like it," Ronon said.

"Yeah, well, fake it til you make it, right? I mean, what am I going to say? No? I have to play the part. I just wish..."

"What?"

"I wish Carson were still here."

3. "John wants me to be more careful in deciding what missions I go on," Teyla said quietly, hand resting on her rounded belly. "He wants to have a say in it."

"What'd you tell him?"

"I told him that Athosian women work until they give birth, and that I would be the judge of what is right for me and my child."

"And?"

She sighed. "I don't know. I suspect we will be having this argument again."

"If you push, he'll let you keep coming on missions," Ronon advised.

"I know that. And I intend to. But...I must confess, I sometimes wonder if he's right. Perhaps I do place this child in too much danger. On Athos we were always in danger, and so it made little sense to worry. But here...a child could be born safely on Atlantis."

"So stay here until he's born."

"If I do that," Teyla, said, "they may never let me return to the team."

4. Ronon leaned casually against Sheppard's door. "You have plans?"

"Plans?" Sheppard dropped his bag on his bed and glanced up.

"For when you're on Earth," Ronon clarified.

Sheppard shrugged noncommittally and began pulling clothing out from various drawers. "Sort of."

Which was a blatant lie, Ronon knew. Sheppard was not nearly as good as hiding his feelings as most of the Lanteans gave him credit for, especially when he was happy, and he'd been very happy these past couple of weeks. The only thing Ronon hadn't figured out was why. He settled in to wait, watching patiently as Sheppard packed.

He was beginning to think he wasn't going to find out when Sheppard added, seemingly out of nowhere, "I'm getting together someone."

"Okay."

"He's...we're hanging out."

Which explained they why nicely. Ronon figured he could put the rest of it together himself.

5. "I think Sheppard might be bisexual!" Rodney blurted out.

Ronon didn't bother to hide his amusement. "So?"

"So..." Rodney spluttered to a stop and glared at him. "You knew?"

Ronon checked the sights on his gun and didn't bother replying.

"Did he say...has he said anything else?"

"Like what?"

"Like...you know. Me?"

"I thought you were straight, McKay."

"I am! That's not...it's just the way he was looking at me the other day. I just thought..."

"He's not into you."

McKay looked torn between relief and disappointment. It was actually kind of comical. "You're sure."

"Yeah." He contemplated telling McKay that Sheppard actually has someone else, and then decides against. Sheppard will tell them when he wants them to know.

Doesn't he, though? Hee! I mean, maybe he *is* an incurable gossip, but by God he *looks* like Fort Knox.

He really, really does. I can totally buy people just suddenly breaking down and revealing deeply personal secrets to Ronon at odd moments just because they're sure they won't go any further.

Hee! It was fun to read something about Ronon. As others have said, there's not enough fic about him. I particularly liked the scene with Rodney, whose reaction was such a classic.
