Janet – my friend. you kept my heart beating, my blood flowing and my nano-what-u-macallits in check forever. You didn’t over rule my objections nearly enuff for my own good. You kept all my secrets.
Mom – you weren’t always wrong.
Laira – How is everything on Edora? The weather okay? Are you keeping the elders in line? Did Garan patch the kayak?
Daniel – I can’t do this anymore. I want you with me for all eternity. I demand you stop traveling to foreign places and sticking you nose in where it don’t belong! No more disappearing and returning all broken and bloody. Absolutely no more saving the world. I mean it.

Aw, but Daniel's the one he'll never stop thinking about. But it's just as well he didn't send the letter. Better to have Daniel think it's his own idea when he finally gives in to Jack's subtle but relentless pressure and settles down. :-)
