4)Someone at the SGC prostrating before a Prior. It doesn't really matter who. The day that happens, there won't be a tomorrow.
3)General O'Neill returning to the SGC and wanting Cameron's team back. Mostly because he thinks the only one who'd even look at him twice would be Vala.
2)General O'Neill kept SG-1 alive (mostly) for a decade. Cameron doesn't want to be the guy who has any one of them die for real and for good under his leadership. But he knows who it will be, anyway.
1)Losing his legs.

I like that you wrote Cameron's team, instead of 'his' (Jack's)-and his thought of Vala. Perfect.

#1 goes back to what the doctors told him after his crash, huh? I wonder what his top five looked like back before he'd ever even heard of the SGC.

2) That Daniel and Vala will start sleeping together and mess up the team dynamic.
3) That Daniel and Vala won’t start sleeping with each other, because if something doesn’t give soon with those two, Cam’s going to shoot somebody.
4) That Vala will die on a mission. He doesn’t think that Daniel will be able to cope with that at all well and Cam will have to figure out how pick up the pieces.
5) That he’ll lose his pants again, except this time won’t be lucky enough to keep his underwear on.

#5? Bring it on! Please!

I don't think that the universe is big enough for Cam to hide if that ever did happen.
Lovely list!

Cam's five biggest fears
2) Losing Sam. He'd rather loose the pants. Hell, he'd rather lose anything. Except maybe SG-1. But Sam's so much a part of that that, the way he figures, you lose one, you lose the other. And the rest of the world's not gonna be far behind.
3) Losing Daniel. Sure, everyone's done it. O'Neill more than once. No one brings up any of those times, though, because the guy also got Jackson back. But Sam sure as hell lost Daniel to her Lego-block self. And Teal'c--okay, stuck there, 'cause Teal'c has never been careless like that, not with Jackson. But Teal'c also never had to order the guy around in the field. And he is the guy who lost Jackson his wife. Forever. About every other officer tagged with the guy has managed to screw this up, get the guy killed or MIA or ready for the first civilian Purple Heart. No way does Cam want to be the one who draws the duty when Jackson runs out of his get-out-of-death free cards. So he's just gonna be extra careful with the man.
4) Losing Teal'c's respect. He's busted his balls--and a few bones, not all of them his--to earn one of those 'you are cool as well' head inclines. It won't take much to blow it. Which is why the fear that his pants going one too many times will leave him nothing but a dumb-ass Jaffa joke. And loosing Sam or Daniel would not only zero anything he's earned, but it'd end with something so far from respect that he doesn't ever want to know. But if he looses either of those two, he'll go looking for Teal'c. Because he'll deserve whatever's coming.
5) Having someone say, "You're no O'Neill." He wakes from nightmares with those word echoing. It's dumb. Of course he's not that guy. But someday someone's gonna call him on it, gonna spill the truth they all know, and he's not sure what the team's gonna think. He's not even sure he's hiding it all that well from them. Trouble is, his Jonesing to lead SG-1 outweights any fear. But if Vala ever says it, he is not gonna be responsible for what happens.

And, it would be a sad, sad thing if Vala told him he was no Jack O'Neill. :-D

1.
“Snakes! Why does it always have to be snakes?” Mitchell asked the refrigerator, mimicking the scene of the movie playing in the living room while he gathered the next round of beer.
“Scared of snakes?” Daniel asked as Mitchell settled back in his chair.
“Nah. Not scared of anything that crawls or slithers.”
“How about ‘hops’?” Sam suggested teasingly.
“Unpausing the movie now…” Mitchell said, grabbing the remote.
“Hops?” Teal’c prodded.
“I hate Easter,” Mitchell mumbled.
2.
Mitchell woke up sweating, that familiar white hot ball of fear lying heavy in his stomach.
“Same dream?” his Academy roommate asked.
“Yeah,” Mitchell answered, breathing heavily.
“Want to talk about it?”
“No, I’m fine. Go back to sleep.”
Mitchell rolled over to face the wall. He could never talk about that dream. The one where he was in a wheelchair like his father.
He didn’t think he could be as strong as his father had been.
3.
Carter and Jackson were pinned down by the artillery halfway up the hill. The ship on top of the hill was firing up its engines, ready to take off with Teal’c to a place they would probably never get to to save him in time. This was going to hell in a handbasket quick. Mitchell looked around. This was his team and they relied on him and he wasn’t going to let them down. He looked over to the colonel near him and saw him nod and knew what he had to do. Mitchell charged the hill. He would not let them down. SG-1 would not be lost under his command.
4.
Mitchell was sitting on the sofa holding the wrinkled hand of his aging grandmother. She tired easily, but her mind was still sharp.
“What’s bothering you, boy?” she asked.
“Nothing. Everything’s fine,” he assured her.
“Don’t lie to me because I’m old,” she scolded. “You can’t tell me anything that my Bible and my God haven’t prepared me for.”
That’s what scares me, he thought. If the Ori came to Earth and met people like his grandmother… people so sure of their own God that nothing could persuade them to pretend otherwise - even to stall for time… He didn’t want to think of the consequences.
“I’m just worried that Mom will dry out the turkey again,” he said, giving her a kiss on her cheek.

#4- woah. Earth wouldn't even have a chance.
#2- I think that fear is probably the only thing that gave Cam the strength to walk again.

#2 - I'm sure he gained strength from his father's strength.
