Five Things Cam wishes Jack had told him about leading SG-1

Five Things Cam wishes Jack had told him about leading SG-1

1. How to handle Daniel in the field, some day Daniel is so good he is better than any soldier Cam ever met, but than Daniel can be so utterly geeky and obsessed with his artifacts, he lost his sense of logic and time and safety.

2. How to order Teal’c in the field. For someone who literally has a hundred years of field experience, sometimes Cam feels he has to add “Please” at the end of his order for propriety sake, but then Teal’c understood and accept the need of chain of command , and Cam doesn’t think O’Neill was that comfortable either in his early years.

3. Do not eat the blue Jell-O in the commissary, any other flavors but the blue, because the one time that he ate it and apparently it’s the last one, Sam looked so crestfallen, he felt the entire commissary eyes on him, not to mention Daniel‘s & Teal‘c‘s.

4. How to handle Vala, of all the SG teams mission reports he memorized, there’s no other case like Vala, well .... maybe a mix of Hathor, Anise, Urgo and Kynthia, none of them left Jack unscathed, so maybe Cam doesn’t do so bad.

5. Sam has 28 days cycle.

I really liked these. And well as far as number one goes, I suspect that Cam would need an entire manual that describes how to handle Daniel (and even then, Cam would still make mistakes because it's Daniel).

Boy, Sam must be a terror on certain days, huh?

And we all tend to forget just how ancient old experienced Teal'c really is. "Please" indeed!

Oh, cool, and you did a companion list with this prompt (or the other way 'round, I've read all the prompts in reverse order ... ). Very fun! Esp. like the detail of Carter being crestfallen about someone else eating the blue Jell-O, heh.

I did the other one first, and then try to look at it from Cam's side, and these just flow... I'm stuck with the same #5, I thought that's important somehow, and impossible to miss if you stay long enough :)
