Prompt 23.08
Five times Cameron calls Jack.
Participation is open to all. If this is your own prompt, you're free to write to it (please do!). Post your list as a comment to this post, adding additional comments if you exceed the character limit. It's OK to post as Anonymous, then come out later or not as you choose. Responses will be screened until midday U.S. Pacific time July 23rd to see what people come up with independently. You can still respond to the prompt after the unveiling, but July 23rd is the official due date.
General info and a place to ask questions: the comm 'welcome' post.
Technical-support questions: tech help.
Suggestions: the suggestion box.
To supply a new prompt: the open call for prompts.
All of the SG-1 and S3 SGA episodes have now broadcast on Sci Fi, but it would still be a courtesy to include a subject-line warning for spoilers of any back-half S10/S3 episodes, especially the season finales. Thanks!
If you're posting a response after the unveiling announcement on July 23, please copy the link to your comment, click on the 'set 23' tag, and reply to the post 'Set 23 Unscreened' with the link to your new comment-response. That helps people find and read and comment on responses that weren't there when they cruised through right after the reveal. :-)

Re: Five times Cam called Jack pt. 2
4. Cam knew that Sam or Teal’c – probably Sam and Teal’c – would call as soon as they could find a phone, so he pulled just enough strings to make sure that his medical-post would be quick and theirs would run long. SG-1 – O’Neill’s SG-1 – had some kind of check-in system, and whenever something happened, when someone got hurt, at least one of them would be on and off the phone with O’Neill until it was over. Cam didn’t mind, and he usually didn’t get in the way.
But it had been his mission, his command. His responsibility, and when General O’Neill found out that Jackson was MIA, it would be from him. Not that there was shit-all they could do about it, not that they even knew where to start looking for Adria…. Cam shut himself in his office and dialed Washington.
5. “Oh, my God,” Sam had said, “are you still thinking about that?” And then she laughed at him for a very long time and passed him her phone.
General O’Neill screwed with him for about ten minutes, and then finally, finally told Cam what was in mission file 30185 and put to rest months of wondering, endless attempts to pry it out of Sam and Jackson, four attempts to locate the missing file, and one very bizarre phone call to his parents. Who’s his daddy, Cam’s ass.
Re: Five times Cam called Jack pt. 2
Love Jack screwing with Cam's head in 3 and 5, hilarious drunken phone call in #2, love the painstaking description of the business card in #1, and hate #4 in the best possible way, because I hate Cam having to make that call and I hate Jack having to hear it. *meep*

Thanks so much for making this prompt not responseless anymore! *g*

#2 is my favorite and #5 is just LOL funny! Good stuff...
and I swear, I didn't read this until after I wrote mine - the drinking stuff was purely coincidental. -- and yours is funnier anyway...
Re: Five times Cam called Jack pt. 2
I love when people happen to write similar items for five things lists, or there's somehow some crossover in the same part. The cool little coincidences...those are the most fun!

Have much love for the drunken messages, of course (very cleverly done) and #4 just makes me wibble because, well, ::points to icon:: it means half of my OTP is missing.
Great work. :-)) and ::wibbles::
