These are wonderful. I like the McKay voice and the McKay perspective on the military, and that he's as correct as he is cranky and as justified as he is transparent, and that he's willing to come around, but what I like most of all is the tonal rhythm, how it builds up to the last line. Somehow that's what seems most McKay of all, and it's lovely. Yay!
