Yes aaaand Number 3 makes little sense, because I dashed this piece off early yesterday evening, in a bit of a rush before I had to get dinner on the table, and I didn't take the time to think that not everyone knows how to ensure that a human on foot can beat a racehorse. To people who know, it's obvious (make each leg of the course short with a 180 degree change in direction each time), but others must be left scratching their heads.
