1. It was big. It was red. It was the only thing in the doorless room that the stargate opened on to, and Daniel almost pushed it.

"Aaahhht! Daniel! Don't touch!" barked Jack, before he could do so. They looked around for a while, could find nothing else of interest and went home. Anubis' Plan B for destroying the universe was foiled.

2. The Gredians had just started to study the broadcasts of the Tau'ri five Earth years previous, and Dallas had offended them mightily. They had been planning an attack on the offending planet to remove the blot on galactic culture, and SG-1's arrival had given them the information they needed to find Earth, but Jack convinced them that they needed to watch The Simpsons first. They decided that a planet that created a program starring beings that looked just as attractively yellow and stubby as they themselves did was okay by them.

3. The Knufflaxians declared galactic war on the strangers who came through the gate and their planet, unless a member of SG-1 could beat them in a running race. Given their huge size, and long legs, things looked pretty hopeless, but Daniel asked to see how they ran.

"It's the same problem as a human racing a horse," he said.

Jack insisted on choosing the course, and chose Sam to run it, because she'd run track in high school. The humans won handily.

4. The giant pyramid ship of the Goa'uld Hapi was cloaked with an Ancient technology he'd secured. Other Goa'ulds and the Tok'ra could not penetrate the cloak but the ships of the Asgard could. Hapi followed Jacob as he approached Sol with Daniel and Sam on board on his way to rescue Teal'c and Jack in the recalled glider. He would destroy the Tau'ri and become a System Lord. Thor didn't like that plan, and evoked the Protected Planets treaty. Hapi didn't call his bluff.

5. The Frangans were very, very, very jealous that the Asgard had elevated the Tau'ri to be the fifth race. The thought that they deserved the honor, not to mention the technology. They resolved to eliminate the competition. Too bad the Asgard had been watching them and knew them to be not just unworthy, but evil. The Asgard installed the necessary shielding on the Tau'ri ship to keep them safe, but in choosing the place to commit suicide, they ensured that the resulting radiation would inundate the Frangan's planet, putting a permanent ending to their schemes.
