Part 2

[continued from above]

04. The decision leading up to kidnapping his old team.
Kidnapping the Atlantis team wasn't easy, especially with the big lumbering replacement they'd adopted. Gone less than six months and already replaced with a better model. No, that hadn’t been a bitter pill to swallow at all. A lot of tracking, planting seeds among his networks, and reminding people that the Atlantis team frequently kicked butt on behalf of the residents of newer worlds that hadn’t been explored when he’d been a team member.

Then he would need to provide food, a lot of it since the enzyme seemed to make those unlike him starving, and tools to train the newbies. The cave turned into a pretty nice home with the pockets and tunnels that provided for a lot of the family vibe and security. His original team would be excellent members, possibly allowing him back to Atlantis where he'd felt a part of something important with the right resources to make it happen. For one thing, C4 wasn't easy to come by, and with the Daedalus around now, it was harder to steal supplies.

Once the news that Sheppard's team was back in rotation began, the plan started to fall into place. First the networking, then the working out to prepare, and finding the right Hive ship to ready the explosion happen to start an inner war that would provide a lot of enzyme for a better army.

All the plan needed was Sheppard to fly the Dart.

05. The last minute before he exploded a Hive ship for the final time.
For all of television and movie explanations of death, it really wasn't that difficult or sad. It involved watching an entire ship run off, try to live, and failing. The enzyme wouldn't help anymore so fighting had been more about violence for the sake of it. His gran wouldn't be proud of that, and he was sorry that he'd be listed as KIA, causing them a lot of worry. That was the downside of being addicted to something so powerful. But now there couldn't be much of a regret since there was only ten seconds left of life. Instead, he just smiled in anticipation of the final moments of a battle that had taken out two Hives, making life a little easier for the Atlantis members. Maybe it would cause a little less work for Doctor Weir, too.

With that thought the world faded away as a large explosion hit the control room.
