1. Sam Carter, SG-1. She'd gone from jealousy over him figuring out the "Door to Heaven" to amazement at his lateral thinking techniques to mourning his loss to the program after the first mission. When she saw he was alive, she couldn't hide her excitement, plus he was cute to boot...but also married and so hands off. By the time Daniel was available, their relationship had deepened to such closeness, she didn't want to mess it up with some kind of office romance.

But when they finally found not-dead, not-ascended, but a living breathing lost Daniel, and he asked if there was anything between them, she couldn't help but hesitate before answering "Not that way."

2. Richard Woolsey, IOA. Oh, not that way of course. But the man was a civilian that had earned high respect amongst many in a military institution, and had insinuated himself with an ease Woolsey could never muster. Richard was half-admiring, half-jealous of the infamous Dr. Jackson, and he couldn't help but wish for the man's respect.

3. Cameron Mitchell, F-302 pilot/SG-1. To be fair, he didn't just crush on Daniel. Sam Carter, Teal'c, Jack O'Neill, all were victims of Cam's fanboy ardor. But one of his first memories from waking up after the crash of Antarctica was Daniel sitting at his bedside, thanking him for saving their lives--as if Cam would've done anything else for the team that had saved the whole damn planet more times than you could count. Then even when the guy wasn't willing to come back on the team, he was willing to give Cam the shirt off his back...or at least the keys to his place. Oh yes, Cam was crushing on Daniel, and put most of his efforts on getting Jackson back on SG-1 first.

4. Dr. Alexis Harrington, SGC archeology department. Who could resist Dr. Jackson with those dreamy blue eyes and that jawline? Plus he was so sharp minded, as anyone who'd heard one of his rants on rushed and improper translations could attest. But Alexis didn't mind. She knew people's lives were at state, especially Dr. Jackson, being on SG-1. He was a living Indiana Jones for that matter. Nikki didn't see the appeal, but she was crushing on Dixon over on SG-13...and he was *married*.

5. Vala Mal Doran, space pirate. Well, Daniel was attractive, who could argue that, and she knew from personal experience he was a *great* kisser. Most men would've jumped her by now. When Vala had first made this deal to come to SGC, she'd assumed she and Daniel would pick up where they left off on that rattletrap spaceship of Earth's. Instead the guy was playing hard to get, and Vala couldn't figure out why. It couldn't be lack of chemistry. She still remembered that kiss. He wasn't still holding that little matter of selling out his crew against her, was he? Actually, he seemed to be wanting to redeem her, silly boy. The strange thing was, she was starting to respond to it. Maybe the weeks stuck in this mountain's basement was rubbing off on her, but she was actually starting to want to earn his respect. But that was a silly notion. It must be something different. Reading up she read these about these quaint Tau'ri notions of courtship and being a gentleman. Perhaps that was it. Yes, that was all.
