What can I say? I live surrounded by people who talk in their sleep, most unintelligibly!

Glad you liked it.

Secret!drinker! Well, #3 might help explain that.

Go Daniel, rockin' the cantina!

Hee, good luck with the cafeteria ladies, Bill. :-D

Hi, great to see you here!

I'm with Bill on the A/C. Totally.

I love the idea of Daniel being an instigator re civilians vs. military ribbing. Ooh, he'd be so good at that! And him taking natural charge in the field... that's kinda hot. :-)

Nice of him to get Bill's paperwork done. Sounds very Daniel, in those circumstances. *nods*

Love Bill's plans for a conference in Germany!

Fascinating thoughts about Daniel needing to examine artifacts in situ. No, he definitely wouldn't be concerned about his own safety, at all. We saw that on Ernest's Planet. Knowledge is everything.

But clearly he was a cockeyed optimist who had a worryingly misplaced sense of trust in his team leader. Five Things Bill Lee Learned About Daniel (and one he learned about Jack O'Neill.) *g*

Thank you! It's been fun.

Yes, I agree with Bill. A/C versus jungle heat? No question. And I don't know why Daniel being the instigator seems to pop up as my fanon. But it's fun playing with Daniel snark.

*thinks of Daniel in Evolution*...epitome of hot.

Hi! You've replied to the entry as a whole, rather than one particular response, and I'm not certain whom you meant to reply to in this case. So if you would like to post this comment again? Just be sure to always click on "reply to this" rather than "post a new comment". :-)

Oh, yeah! Still or quiet Jack = DANGER!!!! Fidgety or loud Jack = relative safety.

I am an archaeologist by training, and siting and provenance is everything. There is so much lost when an item is taken out of context before it can be studied, and you just can't understand the pyramids from pictures and measurements. You only really understand how massive they are when you can be there.

The show does pretty well at capturing that facet of what archaeologists are like. A professor of my mom's once refused a rabies shot after being bitten by a dog in a region where rabies is endemic, because she just couldn't spare the time in the middle of a dig! Lucky for her, turns out it wasn't rabid.

One of my daughters was an impressionable teenager when we discovered Stargate as a family, and she was very taken by Daniel. I admitted that Michael Shanks is a handsome man, but just couldn't really join in her gushing. It took me a while to realize why. The character was far too much like most of the guys I knew from grad school and my own family, and I would never want to be involved with someone who would only notice me when he emerged from his artifact-or-theory induced haze for necessary food and air!

Bill, I have a feeling, is going to be disappointed when his German conference plans succeed, and Daniel turns out to be discussing something dull, like the necessity to find an espresso bar. :D
