Five Planets That The SGC Wish They Had Never Sent a Team To

1 ~ P2C-687. SG-3 came back from that mission... high on some sort of plant on the surface. It took four days to get those marines to stop giggling like a group of teenage gi rls. And the pranks pulled on Colonel O'Neill... well, Jack made sure those were ones that would never be spoken of again.

2 ~ P3A-220. SG-9 had taken that one. A simple trade operation, that's all it was. The next day, it was revealed to the SGC that it had been an ambush. They held their breath when Walter received SG-9's IDC. As they opened the iris to find that three of the four members of the team weren't there... they'd never look at trade missions the same after that.

3 ~ P3X-993. SG-11 came back with refugees from that planet. SG-13 told them there had been an attack on the people by Apophis. The SGC welcomed their first refugees with open arms, only to be repaid by a virus that spread through the base like nothing they had seen before.

The base was locked down and they discovered that the sickness only lasted three to five days. They placed the refugees on a new planet as quickly as they could. The worst thing about the experience was the longer-lasting, more subtle effects of the virus in some. Let's just say the SGC had to retrieve many of the copied security tapes of the events that occurred in Sam's lab. And Daniel's.

4 ~ P4X-528. SG-1 had gotten the short straw taking this one. The M.A.L.P. showed no strange activity. When they arrived, however, they found themselves in the middle of a planet of children. Not just ordinary children. No, these children, however normal they appeared on the outside, were... not normal in the least.

The first sign was when a seven year old boy spotted them from literally a mile away. He ran to them before they had even taken a step.

The next sign was when a four year old gi rl picked Teal'c up and held him over her head. They barely escaped with their lives. Alright... that might be an exaggeration. But their dignity was certainly dented by the time they returned to the SGC. And the General didn't hear the end of it for a long, long time.

5 ~ P3X-666. SG-13. Another ambush. Every remaining member of the SGC blamed themselves for not figuring out what was going on before they lost one of their own. A vital member of their team. Dr. Janet Frasier.

Many thoughts of closing the program passed through the minds of each and every person on base. The threat from the Goa'uld was all to real to do that. And, before long, they had to save the planet once again. But not once, did they make any decision without Janet's sacrifice being recalled to their minds. And she would never be forgotten.

Good mix of humor and sadness, with the canon punch-in-the-gut ending. :-(

Those kiddies in #4 sound spooky!

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't want to stay too long with those kids...

I couldn't resist adding Heroes in there... I couldn't find a better way to end it. I'm sure they really wished they hadn't sent them there.
