2. He's a jerk. Turns out it's easier to yell at the object of your affections than to, you know, do something about it.
3. He's a coward. He tried on no less than three occasions to pick up the phone and confess to his long-awaited revelation.
4. He's a liar. When Daniel went away, he swore to every deity that he'd ever heard of that he'd confess all if they'd just bring Daniel back.
5. And one thing clone!Jack doesn't know that Daniel does: Jack isn't a jerk, a coward, or a liar. He just does things on his own schedule. Daniel's not gonna dispute number one though...
