Hi, everyone! Now that Dreamwidth has enabled community import (http://dw-news.dreamwidth.org/31905.html), your [livejournal.com profile] sg1_five_things mods have decided that it would be an excellent idea to turn our mirror community at Dreamwidth, [community profile] sg_five_things, into a true back-up archive for the LiveJournal community. All past mod posts and all past comments by authors and readers will be part of the initial import, and then we'll re-import regularly to pick up new posts/comments and any new comments on old posts.

Each of you retains ownership of your comments, and by using your LiveJournal OpenID you will always have the power to edit or delete said comments. We hope you won't feel the need to do that, but the power is yours. You can set up your OpenID here: http://www.dreamwidth.org/openid/.

If you have a Dreamwidth account and would like to "claim" your OpenID, read about how to do that here: http://dw-news.dreamwidth.org/32702.html. (If you've already done this, all your comments will automatically import showing your DW username.)

We have no plans to move the community away from LiveJournal at this time. We're just taking advantage of the opportunity to create a good back-up copy.

Let us know if you have questions or concerns!
